I have to say this book is awesome, I can hardly wait for the next one. The author did an amazing job with character dialog and interaction, as well as detailed (not overly) descriptions. After reading some of the negative reviews, I was a little skeptical when I first began reading thinking this was going to be a very dark book. I found nothing too dark or harsh. There was some abusive behavior in the book suffered by Julia, the female protagonist and self inflicted abuse of the male protagonist, Gabriel. The abuses suffered were saddening and were emotionally touching, not disgusting in a way that makes the book offensive. The love that Julia has for Gabriel is the kind of love that makes for a beautiful story. Gabriel is just dark enough, extremely intelligent, and genuinely loves Julia as well. A couple of times during the book I had to wipe my eyes due to the emotional depths this books provokes. This is a book I would read again and I encourage anyone that loves a well written love story to do the same! I can not wait to read more from this talented author!
